Experience the Inaugural Orange & Gray Day at UTRGV
RIO GRANDE VALLEY – The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV) is excited to announce its inaugural Orange & Gray Day, scheduled for January 29. This event offers a unique opportunity for groups of at least 20 participants to explore UTRGV’s athletic facilities and experience a thrilling sporting event.
What to Expect on Orange & Gray Day
For just $6 per person, attendees can engage in guided tours of various UTRGV athletic venues, making this an ideal outing for sports enthusiasts and community members alike. The tours include access to:
- Robert & Janet Vackar Stadium
- Vaqueros Performance Center
- UTRGV Baseball Stadium
- UTRGV Soccer and Track & Field Complex
- UTRGV Fieldhouse
Event Schedule
The festivities kick off at 2 p.m. with tours of the facilities, followed by a significant highlight of the day—a women’s basketball game against Houston Christian University at 6:30 p.m. at the UTRGV Fieldhouse.
Additionally, participants will have the chance to purchase merchandise at the team stores located within Vackar Stadium and the UTRGV Fieldhouse—perfect for those looking to sport their team colors.

Please keep in mind that groups are responsible for their own transportation between facilities. Each group will receive their itinerary in advance, along with a designated point of contact from the UTRGV Athletics staff to ensure a seamless experience.
