High pressure overhead is drifting west of the San Juan Basin, allowing for lingering tropical moisture from the eastern Pacific Ocean to wrap around the southern region. Drier air with even hotter air will continue tomorrow with the high pressure system moving farther west of the region, but then more rain with cooler air will return later this weekend as the high pressure moves back east over the region.
